DEVELOPING AND MANAGING DIGITAL COLLECTIONS: THINKING DIFFERENT MODELS

9.30am to 4.30pm - Tuesday 7 February 2006
Cliftons Melbourne
Ground Floor
440 Collins Street

Effective management of digital collections requires a detailed understanding of current and emerging publishing business models. This timely workshop questions the underlying assumptions that librarians have about creating digital libraries. It examines the impact of the 'Big Deal', the potential orderly retreat and the role that legacy collections have in the delivery of digital resources.
