Shared Registrations
For VALA2014, organisations have the option of registering under the Shared Registration category, whereby a single registration can be shared amongst multiple delegates in the one organisation. For those organisations who have pre-arranged for a Shared Registration, please note the following arrangements:
All Shared Registration participants are to go to the section marked SHARED REGISTRATION at the VALA2014 Registration and Information Desk. All registration envelopes will be in reference number order, and so participants will need to make note of their reference number before attending the Registration Desk. The reference number will be provided to the contact person who made the Shared Registration prior to the Conference, and will be the organisation’s responsibility to ensure that their delegates are aware of their reference number before attending the Conference.
Please note that only ONE name badge and ONE satchel containing ONE Conference Programme is given per registration, and so only one person under a shared registration can attend at one time. It is up to the Organisation to coordinate the times that it is taken out and returned by each of the people sharing your registration.

Registration Fees Cancellation Policy
Cancellations received in writing at the Conference Office by 3 January 2014 will receive a refund less a handling fee of $143 including GST. No refund will be given after this date; however, an alternative delegate name may be submitted. All cancellations and substitutions must be made in writing to the VALA2014 Conference Office.
Accommodation Cancellation Policy
Hotel policy often requires a cancellation fee of the first night’s accommodation forty five (45) days prior to arrival. Some hotels may strictly enforce this. For accommodation cancellation policies please refer to the individual hotel. Any amendments to original hotel bookings must be forwarded in writing to the VALA2014 Conference Office.
Privacy Statement
Australia introduced the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 in 2001. The Conference Managers comply with such legislation which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of the Conference will only be used for the purposes of planning and conduct of the Conference and may also be provided to the organising body or to organisers of future events. It is also usual to produce a ‘Delegate List’ of attendees at the Conference and to include the individual’s details in such a list. Consent for publication of the individual’s information may be withheld when completing the registration form for the Conference. Individuals are also entitled to access the information.
Insurance
Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide any such insurance coverage. The Organising Committee and the Conference Office accept no responsibility for any loss in this regard.
