The second episode in our Leaning In for Public Libraries Series, will provide a Chatham House rules environment for industry sectors to come together and share their journey. Attendance at the first event is not a prerequisite for registration; new voices are welcome.
This 1-hour event will be run as a Zoom Meeting, and hosted by Michelle McLean, VALA President and PLV ICT Special Interest Group convenor.
Topic: Public Libraries – Follow-up discussion
The first of the “Leaning Ins” with Public Libraries was so successful, we decided to run a follow-up online discussion.
As greater clarity is received around reopening scenarios for community and business, public library administrators are developing their plans to resume service. This meeting will be a general discussion on the implications of return-to-work in the public library sector, from keeping staff safe, to enforcing social distancing, imposing quarantine periods on books and materials, and the many other unexpected challenges.
To keep it conversational, inclusive and personal, we’re limiting numbers to 25.
The Public Libraries Leaning In is free to attend, but you must be employed or previously employed in a public library. No proof required, we’ll take your word for it.
