VALA Events 2020: Leaning In Series

Join VALA President Michelle McLean for the third episode in our Leaning In for Public Libraries series. Set in a Chatham House rules environment, attendees will share their perspectives on the coronavirus outbreak, the shifting environment it creates for libraries and the continuing impacts on the sector and staff.

Attendance at the first two events is not a prerequisite for registration; new voices are welcome. This 1-hour event will be run as a Zoom Meeting.

Topic: Public Libraries – Follow-up discussion No.3

The Leaning In sessions for Public Libraries have proven to be a valuable and supportive forum for library staff to gather together and share their experiences during a time when the sector is being deeply affected. As each Australian state and territory learns to deal with varying levels of restrictions and/or re-openings, this meeting will roundup the latest insights and offerings across the country to assist libraries to prepare for a successful recovery, and contemplate how they can be better prepared for future crises affecting their library communities.

To keep it conversational, inclusive and personal, we’re limiting numbers to 25.

The Public Libraries Leaning In is free to attend, but you must be employed or previously employed in a public library. No proof required, we’ll take your word for it.
