Join VALA Secretary Michelle McLean for the seventh episode in our Leaning In with Public Libraries series. This online meeting continues a conversation which began in April 2020, offering participants a platform to share their reflections and experiences, to help support each other as we all collectively adapted and learnt how to grow stronger from each’s experiences during Covid-19.
Attendance at previous events is not a prerequisite for registration; new voices are welcome. This 1-hour event will be run as a Zoom Meeting.
Topic: Public Libraries – Discussion No.7 – Ongoing Challenges
As Covid variants bring new concerns and periodic lockdowns become the norm for at least the next year, how do we cope with the open/close nature of our libraries, the staff concerns and the reluctance of members to return to our libraries.
To keep it conversational, inclusive and personal, we’re limiting numbers to 25.
The Public Libraries Leaning In is free to attend, but you must be employed or previously employed in a public library. No proof required, we’ll take your word for it.
