Presentation
Abstract
Changes to browser privacy settings due to roll out over the next year, will impact how libraries access electronic resources. It’s vital librarians get up to speed on privacy-preserving initiatives, as they could have a significant impact on federated access in research and education. Web browsers have helped to revolutionize how users interact not just with websites, but with cloud applications and online resources. This session is intended to educate and inform you of these changes and their impacts, giving you the tools to move forward. The session will also discuss the OpenAthens managed proxy: an out-of-the-box cloud-hosted solution which is configured, secured and managed day-to-day by our specialist staff.
