Abstract
Primarily known as a platform for managing software development projects, GitHub can also be an effective tool for managing other types of projects thanks to its robust version control, simple mark down code and inbuilt project management features. Join members of the CAUL Digital Dexterity group as we demonstrate how we’ve utilised GitHub to create “The Living Book of Digital Skills” – a collaborative project designed to harness the knowledge and expertise of librarians to create an evolving repository of content and resources across the spectrum of digital skills. No prior knowledge of GitHub or coding is required to participate in this hands-on, step-by-step introduction which we hope will inspire you to share ideas and contribute to this rewarding community.
