Abstract
With such strong competition for library funds, a strong business proposal is required for any new project/service/item that library staff would like to see implemented at their library service. Two experienced senior library managers will share their experiences, templates, tips and tricks on pulling together a business proposal which will give participants the best chance of seeing their project realised. The workshop will include an overview of a business proposal and its importance to libraries, describe the various elements, discuss issues and concerns with participants. The provided workbook will have all slide decks, references and space for participants to start writing a proposal. Time will be taken for them to start doing this in the workshop, with the opportunity for clarification and feedback.
